We are a team of dedicated real estate professionals, active duty service members, and veterans who share a passion for leaving a lasting mark of diligent service on our industry. Members of Combat to Condos and the cooperative Associations collaborate in a proactive manner to ensure the servicemen and women of our country have unfettered access to condominium housing. Together we minimize the roadblocks to homeownership for our veterans and active duty member of our military. Combat to Condos was founded by Steven Milligan, a Realtor local to Northeast Florida, who has always had a passion for service to those who have earned the right to utilize the VA home loan.
Our Mission
// The Process
We work to proactively add Condominium Associations to the VA's approved list before VA buyers potentially miss out on purchasing opportunities that would otherwise be afforded to them. The process for VA approval is clouded with misinformation both online, and off. It's also mistakenly seen as a costly endeavor, with some private companies charging upwards of $800 for this process to be completed. Through volunteer efforts, Combat to Condos is able to offer this free of charge – as a way to give back to those who served our country.
// The Why
The VA requires that condominiums seek their approval to ensure they are financially sound, well-managed, and a stable investment for our nation's servicemen and women. The approval process verifies the condo association's financial health, including its budget, reserves, and insurance, and confirms that the association's rules and ownership structure do not place unfair burdens on unit owners.
